LITTLE CANADA, Minn. (FOX 9) - Several pigs are running around on Interstate 694 in Little Canada, Minnesota on Friday morning after a semi-trailer tipped over on the roadway.

Traffic camera videos captured the unusual event on eastbound I-694 at I-35E where at least a dozen pigs were seen running around near traffic. The Minnesota State Patrol said 50 pigs were in the trailer when the semi-truck toppled over.

A section of I-694 eastbound was closed for a stretch of time while crews worked to capture the pigs and clean up the scene. The state patrol said 10 pigs were killed as a result of the crash. The semi-truck driver was not injured.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
